About Carrie Mead, LCPC

Need a judgement-free zone for your healing? Let’s Connect

Allow me to accompany you on your healing journey, and I will support your growth and dreams- even when you lose sight of them.

With each session, you will gain personal insight and concrete strategies for making positive changes in your life. You will also learn how to identify patterns of dysfunction in your relationships and how to successfully rewrite these negative internal scripts. Together, we will work towards your goals and restore your sense of emotional safety and personal empowerment. You will notice growing self-confidence, more meaningful relationships, increased energy, less emotional reactivity, and improved nervous system regulation and flexibility.

My approach is gentle, wise, and informed. I use somatic techniques, like EFT tapping and grounding, along with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and I work from a trauma-informed perspective. In addition to holding my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, I am a certified coach who specializes in helping people successfully navigate difficult life transitions, and I am a committed lifelong learner (check out some of my favorite books). I am currently working towards my certification in Traumatic Stress Studies, offered through the Trauma Research Foundation. I regularly study topics such as:

  • trauma
  • narcissism
  • mindfulness
  • sleep and insomnia
  • grief
  • neuroscience

My hours are flexible, my rates are affordable, and all sessions are held virtually for your convenience. I am licensed in Maryland and South Carolina. Schedule your first session now by completing your paperwork online here or by emailing me at carrie@marylandtherapycarrie.com.
