Marriage Counseling for Marylanders

If your partner feels more like a roommate than a soulmate, you may benefit from relationship or marriage counseling. The stress of raising children, long hours at work, chronic health conditions, and financial burdens can sabotage a marriage or partnership. Relationship counseling is a safe place to explore the dynamics of your relationship, improve your communication, and learn to reconnect with one another.

You will define your relationship. Families and partnerships come in all shapes and sizes! I regularly work with blended families, same-sex couples, consensual non-monogamous partnerships, and those going through separation. I also work with healthy couples looking to take their relationship to the next level!

Signs of Trouble

  • Resentment
  • Sarcasm
  • Blaming behavior
  • Avoiding each other
  • Constant arguments
  • Binge drinking, drug use, compulsive shopping, gambling, or over-eating to cope with relationship stress
  • Emotional or Physical abuse
  • Lack of respect for each other
  • Lack of enjoyment of each other
  • Loss of common interests
  • Infidelity
  • Lack of communication
  • Lack of sexual intimacy or physical touch

Let’s talk. Book a session.

If your marriage or partnership is stale, hurtful, or progressing in the wrong direction, relationship counseling can be incredibly beneficial to you and your partner(s). In the process of therapy, you will learn new ways to connect, listen, and support each other. Call or email to find out more.

What to Expect

We will meet via HIPAA secure video conference (or ‘telemental health’) 1x per week for 60-90 minutes. You may be in therapy for several months or a year. The length and frequency of your commitment to therapy will depend on many things and there is no ‘one size fits all’ formula. We will work together to improve your relationship, heal your past hurts and mistrusts, and achieve all of your treatment goals. Call me to learn more about how I can help you.
