Depression is a relentless, nagging, and unwelcome feeling. It is more than just a ‘bad day’. Depression can come in waves or it can linger throughout your life. Sometimes there is a catalyst or trigger for this feeling such as a job loss, the death of a loved one, or a divorce, but, sometimes this low mood sets-in without warning or reason.

Symptoms of Depression

  • low motivation
  • crying spells
  • anger outbursts
  • distractability or poor focus
  • lack of joy
  • feelings of hopelessness
  • irritability
  • headaches or stomach aches
  • significant weight gain or weight loss
  • restlessness
  • sleeping too much (hypersomnia) or sleeping too little (hyposomnia)

Let’s talk. Book a session.

If you believe you are suffering with depression, reach out to me. Mental health counseling (or ‘psychotherapy’) can be incredibly beneficial to you. You will learn the skills necessary to regain control of your life and you will have safe place to explore your inner-most thoughts, feelings, and life experiences. Call or email to find out more.

What to Expect

We will meet weekly, in-person or via video conference for ‘telemental health’ for 50 minutes. You may be in therapy for several months or a year. The length and frequency of your commitment to therapy will depend on many things and there is no ‘one size fits all’ formula. We will work together to improve your mood and achieve your treatment goals.
